Lawn Memorials
These comprise a headstone sitting on a matching base and were introduced several years ago as a replacement to kerbed graves. Your relevant church authority will be able to tell you if kerbs are permitted within that particular churchyard or cemetery. The base of the memorial is cemented to a 12" deep concrete foundation, and the headstone fixed with stainless steel dowels. This ensures maximium strength and no risk of subsidence. We offer four different sizes of lawn memorials: Cremation, Small, Medium and Large.

Kerbs
At T.E. Cubbon Ltd we use a modular system for kerbs, so that any of the lawn memorials* illustated below can be supplied with a set of matching granite kerbs. The 3" kerbs abut directly against the 4" or 5" base of the memorials.

The top of the kerbed grave can be planted out by yourself, or for low maintainence we can supply a concrete top and decorative chippings which come in a variety of colours. Both natural stone and glass chippings are available in the following colours: GREEN, TURQUOISE, COBALT BLUE, WHITE QUARTZ, GREY GRANITE.

Memorial Books
Memorial Books are available with fully worked pages and hand worked cord and tassel. They are used as a lawn memorial in their own right or to provide more inscription space on a kerbed grave. Standard size is 24" x 18".

Vases*
Vases can be purchased for kerbed graves and come as standard 7" cubes with an aluminium flower container. A range of turned granite vases (urns) are available on request.

*Most church authorities do not allow seperate vases to be positioned in front of lawn memorials.

Cremation Lawn Memorial

Used throughout the island to commemorate the burial of ashes, cremation lawn memorials comprise a headstone sitting off-centre on a base with a flower container. They occupy a 2ft wide plot, which can be purchased directly from the vicar and wardens of the relevant church or via funeral directors. There is sufficient space on the memorial to accomodate two inscriptions.

Small Lawn Memorial

This lawn memorial comprises a headstone positioned centrally on a matching base. The base can accomodate any combination of flower containers, two at either end (default), one centrally, one either side, or none at all, depending on your preference. Although the headstone sits on a 2ft wide base, they are purchased for a full size (4ft wide) burial plot. The memorial can easily take two standard inscriptions or three small ones.

Medium Lawn Memorial

This lawn memorial is made from 4" thick material and being larger than the one above has a more imposing feel. The base can accomodate any combination of flower containers, two at either end (default), one centrally, one either side, or none at all, depending on your preference. Although the headstone only sits on a 30" wide base, they are purchased for a full size (4ft wide) burial plot. The memorial can accommodate three standard inscriptions.
